The right is the non left. Leftwards is towards orthodoxy, rightwards is deviation from orthodoxy in any direction.

Left and Right is like Roman Catholics and protestants during the reformation. There was only one way to be Roman Catholic, but a thousand completely different ways to be protestant.

The left is the permanently winning faction. The right is a loose coalition of everyone that gets stomped by the winners

So libertarians are right, and fascists right, even though they disagree about everything, and similarly Roissy is right. and Austin is right, even though they disagree about everything.

Right and left are not irections. Rather the right is the non left.

Roissy has deviated from left wing dogma in one direction, Austin in the other direction.

If the fascists had won, then they would be left. Observe that before World War II, all the notable leftists were tending fascist, for example George Bernard Shaw and Jack London. Whoever is winning gets inducted into the left wing coalition, and the orthodoxy is adjusted to accomodate them. History is then swiftly rewritten that the current orthodoxy was always left wing orthodoxy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8205333.post-83153118349077615892008-04-29T19:16:00.000+00:002008-04-29T19:16:00.000+00:00P.S.
